We are extremely proud of our cooperation with local farmers and harvesters. As we planted our bamboo ourselves, we have full control on quality and follow-up of the whole process from planting to harvesting and treatment.
Indobel Bamboo Merapi was established out of the fine cooperation with local communities on the slopes of the Merapi and Merbabu vulcanos near Yogyakarta, a cosmopolitan city on the island of Java, Indonesia.
Our project provides an ecological and economic support and encouragement to the Java farmers and communities. It is a fact that bamboo plantations protect from landslides and create local fauna and flora, eventually turning into extremely fertile grounds.
We harvest our bamboo and transport it afterwards into our warehouse, which is located just outside the city of Yogyakarta, where we wash, dry and treat our bamboo poles.
Our warehouse activities are in no way causing neither environmental nor noise pollution.
Our clients are local and international companies. We sell to contractors and artisans alike. Bamboo is a splendid and wonderfully versatile material. It has many and varied applications in the construction and furniture business, and in the textile fiber, paper and biomass industry.
